Dixie Lee Morrow
Dixie Lee Morrow, 67, of West Liberty, Slippery Rock, formerly of Nashville, Tenn., died Sunday at her home following an extended illness.
Born in Butler, Sept. 6, 1941, she was the daughter of Fred R. Morrow and Mabel Loretta Wimer.
She graduated in 1959 from New Castle High School and later graduated from the George Peabody College for Teachers, which later become part of Vanderbilt University.
She retired in April 2007 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she was head of receiving at the Vanderbilt University Bookstore.
She attended the West Liberty United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Robert D. Morrow of Crown Point, Ind.; and five sisters, Janet English of Prospect, Donna Braden and her husband, Thomas, of Sun City Center, Fla., Mary Ann Bentley of Roxboro, N.C., Nancy Robinson of Roxboro, N.C., and Kay Croll and her husband, Lee, of Slippery Rock. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Kenneth, James and John "Jack" Morrow; and a sister, Grace Valenti.
