Sara I. Eiler Young, 88, of Line Avenue, Ellwood City, died Monday at Edison Manor in New Castle following a brief illness.

Born Nov. 25, 1920, in Butler County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Charles and Sara Nettie Rice Eiler.

Sara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ellwood City.

She was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She enjoyed reading.

Survivors include her husband, Harold J. Young, who she married Aug. 27, 1939; two daughters, Olivia Lyons of Washington, Pa., and Sarena Wheeler of Ellwood City; a son, John (Cindy) Young of Cambridge Springs, Pa.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathryn Duncan; five sisters, Marie Morrison, Nellie Eiler, Ethel Hazen, Pearl Keany and Clara Matthew; and four brothers, Clarence, Roy, Harry and Elmer Eiler.

<B>YOUNG</B> — Visiting hours for Sara I. Eiler Young, who died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Marshall Funeral Home</B>, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City. Friends also will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
