Esther M. Krauchuk
Esther M. Krauchuk, 83, of the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Alameda Road and Remil Drive, died at 5:20 p.m. Monday at Sunnyview.
Born May 12, 1925, in Miami, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Guy S. Mitchell and the late Grace Hecker Mitchell.
Mrs. Krauchuk had been a secretary for the International Staple and Machine Co. from 1969 until her retirement in 1983.
She was a former member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Krauchuk formerly had been a member of the Golden Slippers, a dance group from the Tanglewood Senior Center.
Mrs. Krauchuk is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Anselmo (Patricia) Arruda of Pembroke, Mass., and Paula L. Krauchuk of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Rex Mitchell of Oil City; one sister, Ina Jarrell of Fort Walton, Fla.; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Krauchuk was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Krauchuk Jr., who passed away July 14, 2005; and by one stepbrother, William Mitchell.
<B>KRAUCHUK </B>— Friends of Esther M. Krauchuk, who died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Merry H. Meloy, pastor of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church.
