Mark J. Bauer
Mark J. Bauer, 81, of Tylersburg died Monday at UPMC Pittsburgh.
Born Feb. 18, 1926, in Lucinda, he was the son of Florian and Cora Schmader Bauer.
Mr. Bauer served with the Army during World War II, serving in the European Theatre. He worked for many years as a truck mechanic in the area. He was a member of St. Mary Church in Crown. He also was a founding member of Farmington Area Ambulance Service and was a member of the Veteran's Club of Forest County.
In the past, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling.
Mr. Bauer was married to Loretta Keverline on Feb. 8, 1951, and she preceded him in death in 1962.
Mr. Bauer is survived by his children, Cheryl Kohlmeyer and her husband, James, of Greenville; Kathleen Miller of Burlington, N.C.; Jeanie Franke and her husband, Dennis, of Cabot; Joan Lander and her husband, Timothy, of Lucinda; Mark Bauer and his wife, Tina, of Clarion; Mary Jo Bauer of Virginia Beach, Va.; Lori Kahle and her husband, Carl, of Crown; Marcia Moore and her husband, Michael, of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and Andrew Bauer and his wife, Marcy, of Vowinckel. He is also survived by a sister, Marcella Betz Hook and her husband, Ivan, of Knox and a brother, Cletus Bauer and his wife, Jean, of Florida. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry, Raymond, Ernest, Harold and Joseph Bauer and a sister, Bernice (Blondie) Crise and a grandson, Cory Alan Lander.
