Victoria Jackson
Victoria G. Jackson, 92, of Gibsonia, died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at home in the loving company of her family.
Born in Butler on Aug. 31, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Norbert S. and Victoria Phillips Garbisch. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Gregg Jackson Sr., whom she married on Aug. 4, 1951; loving mother of Robert G. Jackson Jr. (Lesa) and Scott G. Jackson (Michele); sister of the late Marjorie Anderson, Nadine Kurtz and Norbert S. Garbisch Jr.; and dear grandmother of Robert G. Jackson III (Maddi), Daniel Jackson and Brett Jackson.
Vicky often reminisced about her wonderful childhood spent in Pennsylvania with her extended family. She volunteered for Hosanna Industries and St. Barnabas, provided transportation for seniors, and enjoyed walking dogs at the Hilton Head Humane Association while visiting South Carolina, where she was a founding member of South Carolina Yacht Club. Vicky enjoyed golfing, reading, doting on her grandchildren, and her dog, Pandy. She was a lifelong member of Butler Country Club and devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown where she served on the cemetery board. Vicky spent 32 years as a widow with her characteristic poise and grace.
JACKSON — Friends of Victoria G. Jackson, who died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, will be received 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown with the Rev. Gary Weston and the Rev. Donn Ed co-officiating.
A private burial will take place in Bakerstown Cemetery.
