Ruth Robinson

Ruth A. Robinson, 92, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at her daughter's residence.

She was born Nov. 18, 1931, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late John H. and Beulah (Stear) Lawson.

Ruth was a member of the American Legion in Saxonburg and Thorncreek United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, camping and helping with the Girl Scouts. Ruth also enjoyed going to garage sales and playing cards and bingo.

Surviving are her daughter, Carol (Kenneth) Weleski, with whom she made her home; grandchildren, Timothy J. (Abby) Weleski and Gregory J. (Farrah) Weleski; great-grandchildren, Aleksandra, Olivia and James Weleski, and Madison Lupu; a sister, Lois (Sylvester) Kapalka of Butler; a brother, James (Joanne) Lawson of Butler and a number of nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Robinson; and her son, James A. Robinson.

ROBINSON — Friends of Ruth A. Robinson, who died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Saturday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Private burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
