Stephen A. Miles, 59, of Butler, passed away at his residence on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024.

Born Aug. 10, 1964, in Butler, he was the son of the late James C. Miles and the late Gayle L. Reges.

Steve worked for the state police in Butler for 18 years until his retirement in 2004. After retirement, he volunteered working for a church and the Humane Society. Steve enjoyed bowling, watching WWE wrestling and the Steelers, playing cards and games on his tablet, and walking his German shepherd, Cassie, at Moraine State Park.

Surviving are his aunt, Bonnie Bronchak; his uncle, Joe, and his wife, Theresa; three cousins, Kevin Bronchak and his wife, Kathy, Kelly Jewart and Keith Choff. Also surviving is Mary Avery, a caring and sweet friend.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, MaryLou Choff; and a cousin.

MILES — Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or services for Stephen A. Miles, who died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024.
