Watson

James R. Watson, 75, of Butler, passed away at his home on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024.

Born Oct. 21, 1948, in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Robert and Bertha (White) Watson.

James honorably served our country for 27 years in the Navy and Army National Guard. He was also a true outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and building.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Tracy (Nagle) Watson, whom he married on Dec. 20, 1986; his children, Tom Watson (Joyce), Michelle Watson (Travis Miller) and Bryon Watson (Lauren); his seven grandchildren, Kyle, Zoe, Alexis, Alyssa, Hunter, Cameron and Paisley; and his brother, William Watson.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Johnston.

WATSON — A gathering of family and friends for James R. Watson, who died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

He will be laid to rest with military honors at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville.
