State Rep. Aaron Bernstine announced he is running for reelection to represent the 8th Legislative District, which includes parts of Butler and Lawrence counties.

Most politicians go to Harrisburg and quickly become part of the swamp, but Aaron is an exception and has never lost sight of what is important to our community. While our economy continues to struggle, Aaron takes time to understand the impact every policy has on our wallets. He has been a steadfast fiscal watchdog for the taxpayers, calling out excessive government spending and tax hikes. He’s one of the few members of the General Assembly who has consistently voted against bloated state budgets.

Aaron is one of the most vocal advocates for our second amendment rights in Harrisburg. While some have tried to chip away at our constitutional rights, Aaron has worked to expand them. He championed constitutional carry legislation that would have allowed law-abiding citizens to carry concealed without a permit. He stopped multiple attempts to punish law-abiding gun owners.

Our freedoms are constantly under attack, and Aaron has demonstrated his willingness to fight back. He was on the front lines question Gov. Tom Wolf’s COVID-19 shutdowns, has pushed to fix our broken election system, and has stood up for medical freedom in vaccinations.

These are just a few of the reasons I’m proud to support Rep. Aaron Bernstine for reelection. I hope you will join me in voting for him on April 23.
