Lavery

Georgia Mae Lavery, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 16 in Butler, the daughter of the late Clarence and Blanche (Whitmire) Post.

Georgia had worked at The Bantam, Aland's Toyland and Butler Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed country music and playing Bingo.

Surviving are her daughter, Norma Jean Lavery of Butler; her son, Ronald William Lavery of Butler; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Lavery, whom she married Sept. 16, 1946, and who passed away March 4, 1997; two sisters; a brother; three nephews; and a niece.

LAVERY — Friends of Georgia Mae Lavery, who died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, will be received from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Burial is private in North Side Cemetery, Butler.
