A 24-year-old man was accused of putting a gun to someone’s head over the weekend, according to documents filed Saturday, Nov. 4.

Jacob D. Barnhouse, of Butler, was charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor simple assault and terroristic threats following the incident.

Police said they responded to a report of an assault at 11:41 p.m. Saturday on Center Avenue.

When they arrived, a woman reported that Barnhouse had grabbed her by her hair from behind and placed a gun to her head, according to documents.

Barnhouse also verbally threatened the woman, police said.

Documents showed Barnhouse was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $50,000.

His preliminary hearing before District Judge William Fullerton is scheduled Nov. 13.
