Baptiste

Michael C. Baptiste, 53, of Fenelton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, in Allegheny Valley Hospital from a sudden cardiac event.

He was born on Nov. 4, 1969, in Butler, to the late Norman and Margaret (George) Baptiste.

Michael was employed with Bayer, and he also previously worked for Jadco.

He was a past member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen’s Club in Yellowdog and the Kittanning Eagles.

Michael was an adventurous man with a sarcastic sense of humor. He was always up for a road trip or adventure in Western Pennsylvania. He was infatuated with Bigfoot and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snake hunting, ax throwing and his motorcycle.

Left behind to forever cherish his memory are his fiancée, Shannon Barr, and their two sons, whom he loved dearly, Guyd and Connor Baptiste. He also leaves behind his brother, Dennis Baptiste, and sisters, Diana (Tim Bauer) Baptiste and Karen (John) Hodak. Michael will also be missed by his niece, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Michele Walton, and a niece, Kylie Walton.

BAPTISTE — Family and friends of Michael C. Baptiste, who died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, will be received from 6 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 8 p.m. Friday at F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 119 Bear St., Worthington, Pa.
