Laura Frenchik
Laura Lynn (Hull) Frenchik, 65, of Longwood, Fla., passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, at AdventHealth Hospice in Orlando, Fla., after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Born July 21, 1961, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Bancroft Hull and the late Judith Ann (Christley) Straney.
Laura was a proud graduate of Carlow University School of Nursing. She was a dedicated nurse for many years with United Healthcare, Latrobe Hospital and Mercy Hospital. She was an avid volunteer with local sea turtle, manatee and beach cleanup groups. She was the eternal caretaker — first of her children — but once they were grown, she was passionate about her plants, pets and volunteer causes. Her favorite title was “Grammy.”
Surviving are her children, Pamela Smyth and husband, Daniel, of Winter Springs, Fla.; Patrick Bollinger and wife, Laura, of Bellmawr, N.J.; Tyler Frenchik, of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; Samantha Coleman and husband, Andrew, of New Alexandria, Pa.; and Amanda Frenchik, of Latrobe. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; sister, Amy Klabnik; brothers, Scott and Mark Hull; and aunt, Susan Thompson.
A celebration of life is to be held Saturday, Nov. 14, in Latrobe. Please contact the family for details.
