Helen Marie Byers, 78, of Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Sligo, formerly of Parker, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday at Clarion Hospital of a sudden illness. She had lived at Clarview for several years.

Born March 30, 1929, in Parker, she was the daughter of Paul J. and Helen G. Neely Byers.

She was a lifelong member of the Parker United Methodist Church, and in earlier years, she had belonged to the United Methodist Women.

Surviving are a cousin in Florida and a second cousin and family in Parker.

<B>BYERS </B>— Private visitation and funeral services for Helen Marie Byers, who died Tuesday, July 9, 2007, were held this morning at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Parker. Burial was at the in Parker Presbyterian Cemetery.
