7:56 p.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Shayla Snyder, 16, of West Sunbury and Matthew Deless, 24, of Butler collided at West Wayne and Liberty streets. Police said Snyder was cited for a stop sign violation.1:12 a.m. Thursday — Charleen Anderson, 29, of Chicora was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 8 South. Police said Anderson was also cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving without valid registration, and a traffic signal violation.

11:38 p.m. Thursday — Acar driven by Crystal Marburger, 26, no address given, crashed into several trees along Route 488 near Sechan Road in Prospect.Police said Marburger, who claimed she lost control of her car after swerving to avoid a deer on the road, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.12:35 a.m. Thursday — Jeanne Zimmerman, 50, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car crashed into two trees and ended in a pasture along Mahood Road in Clay Township.Police said Zimmerman, who suffered minor injuries, claimed she lost control of her car when a group of deer jumped onto the road.Thursday — Police reported they are looking for the unknown driver of a black pickup truck that hit a 12-year-old boy who was walking on the side of Dick Road near Double Road in Connoquenessing Township earlier this week.The driver, a white man in his early 20s, did not stop after the passenger side mirror of his pickup hit the boy in the shoulder about 4:30 p.m. Monday. The truck was last seen traveling north on Dick Road.Police did not identify the boy, who was knocked to the ground. He was able to walk to a nearby home for help, was later treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital and released.The suspect's vehicle, somewhere between a 2001 and 2005 model, is described as a full-sized Chevrolet pickup with no cap. It was occupied by the driver and a passenger, also a white man in his early 20s.Thursday — Police charged an Ohio man for allegedly taking another man's wallet from a Clay Township tavern, and using the victim's ATMcards.Gregory Frampton, 30, of Brookfield is accused of withdrawing $807.50 from Michael Beck's bank accounts on Oct. 27. Frampton is charged with theft and access device fraud; he was arraigned on charges and placed in the Butler County Prison on $3,000 bond.

2:29 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Justin Snyder, 25, of Rimersburg struck another pickup on Greenville Pike in Clarion Township.Police said Snyder drove off after the collision and caused two more crashes in nearby Clarion, before he was stopped. Police said they continue to investigate the crashes.

Tuesday — A14-inch, Stihl concrete saw and assorted drills, chains, fuel containers and other equipment were stolen Monday or Tuesday from a construction trailer at Truck Stop of America parking lot in Barkeyville. Glenn O. Hawbaker Construction of State College, Centre County, owns the stolen property.5:46 p.m. Monday — An employee is suspected of stealing money from the Citgo Gas Station in Barkeyville. Police did not identify the suspect in the theft, which remains under investigation.

7:24 a.m. Wednesday — Rachel Daugherty, 18, of Mercer was injured when her car crashed into a tree and rolled over along Route 258 in Liberty Township. Police said Daugherty was taken to UPMC Greenville with moderate injuries.Tuesday — Police suspect aboy used a stolen bicycle to aid his escape from the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township.The boy, who police did not identify, escaped about 1:15 a.m. He was caught about 8 p.m. that same day. Investigators said the boy admitted that after he escaped he stole a bike from a home somewhere between the facility and Slippery Rock University in Butler County.Police have not recovered the bike, which possibly was thrown into the woods. The bike is believed to be blue.
