Sheppeck

James A. "Jim" Sheppeck, 53, of Butler died Saturday at the emergency room of Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 11, 1953, in Butler, he was a son of Helen Davis Sheppeck and the late Stephen Sheppeck, who died in 1980.

Mr. Sheppeck was a 1971 graduate of Butler Senior High School.

He was a crane operator for Harsco/Multi Serve, formerly Hackett/Multi Serve, for nearly 20 years. He formerly worked at the Pullman Standard Car Co. for 10 years until the company closed. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 66.

He was devoted to his wife and children. He was a hard worker and also greatly enjoyed the outdoors. An avid hunter and sportsman, he especially loved spending time at his camp in Cameron County and was a member of the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen's Association.

His wife, Catherine M. Gibbs Sheppeck, whom he married Aug. 10, 1974, survives.

Also surviving is his mother of Butler; two daughters, Alicia Sheppeck of Butler, and Amber Clement and her husband, Paul Clement, of Duchesne, Utah; three brothers, Robert Sheppeck and his wife, Sandy, of Butler, William Sheppeck and his wife, Linda, of Savannah, Ga., and Charles Sheppeck of Bolivar, Miss; a sister, Brenda Heider and her husband, Albert, of Butler; nine nieces; 10 nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

<B>SHEPPECK</B> — Friends of James A. "Jim" Sheppeck, who died Saturday, July 7, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E.CunninghamSt.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph C. Link officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
