Water line breaks cutting service
Fifteen customers of Pennsylvania American Water lost their water this morning in the city’s West End when a line broke.
Spokesman Gary Lobaugh said the company was alerted at 5:30 a.m. about a break in a 75-year-old, 6-inch cast iron pipe at New Castle Street and 5th Avenue.
Service was to be restored by mid-afternoon, Lobaugh said.
