2 Bruin men charged with selling drugs following traffic stop
A traffic stop in Bruin led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana within the vehicle and a nearby residence, according to state police.
Devin R. Schrecengost, 26, and Jason D. Will, 32, both of Bruin, were charged Tuesday with felony drug sales and several charges of use and possession of drug paraphernalia for a Jan. 30 incident.
Police said they were advised to watch for a gold Saab sedan that was involved in a Clarion County burglary. Police said the vehicle was located at 11:30 p.m. in Bruin.
A traffic stop was initiated on Water Street and the driver was identified as Schrecengost. Clarion police officers were called to the scene to have the vehicle towed for a search warrant.
Police said Schrecengost told officers his residence was nearby, and Will was seen exiting it around the time of the traffic stop. Will had an active arrest warrant and was searched.
Police said Will was found with a bag of methamphetamine, weighing 16.13 grams, in his left pocket.
A search of the residence yielded two bags of marijuana, digital scales, a smoking pipe, two methamphetamine pipes, a metal grinder and an iPhone, police said.
Clarion police later contacted Butler officers about the search of Schrecengost’s vehicle. According to the affidavit, 10.99 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale and smoking device were found.
Preliminary hearings for Schrecengost and Will have not yet been scheduled.
