Mary Boss, 95, of Butler died Saturday morning at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born March 7, 1915, in Butler Township, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Catherine (Pilipchuk) Boss.

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora, where she had volunteered her time with church activities.

She was a homemaker, who previously had worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory in Butler, and she enjoyed sewing.

Mary was a veteran of World War II, serving as a mail clerk in England with the 8th Air Force of the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Surviving are her two sisters, Helen Boss and Rose Hnatko, both of Butler; several nieces and nephews; three grandnieces; and a grandnephew.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Boss and Peter Boss; and a sister, Ann Huba.

<B>Boss</B> — There will be no visitation. Funeral services for Mary Boss, who died Saturday, May 1, 2010, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 21 Evergreen Road, Lyndora. The Rev. Paisius McGrath, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Arrangements are by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, Butler, and information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
