Candidates will speak at forum

BUTLER TWP - Candidates for mayor and city council in Butler, commissioners in Butler Township and district judge in Butler Township have been invited to a candidates forum Wednesday morning.

The session, hosted by Butler County Community College in Succop Theater starting at 9 a.m.,

will give each group of candidates about 30 minutes to answer a set of questions that were sent to the candidates. Each candidate will be given a set number of minutes for answers. There will be no debate or rebuttals.

Organizer Steven Catt, director of government relations for BC3, said there may be time for the audience to submit questions.

The offices and candidates include:

Mayor - Democrat Maggie Stock and Republican Drusilla Rensel

City council - Republicans Mike Kelly and Joe Bratkovich, and Democrat Kathy Kline. Two will to be elected.

Butler Township commissioner - Democrats Donna Druga and Sam Zurzolo, and Republicans Joe Matson and David Kowal. Two will be elected.

District judge - Republican Ronald Pate and Democrat Kevin O'Donnell
