Florence L. Hays, 96, of Butler died at 10:40 a.m. Monday at the Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville.

Florence was born March 27, 1914, in Renfrew and was the daughter of the late Clinton Rimer and Mary McClelland Rimer.

Florence was a homemaker and also worked at Troutman's department store for many years. She was a member of Christ Outreach Church in Butler.

She is survived by one son, Gerald Hays of California; one daughter, Carol Cyktich of Florida; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence S. Hays, who passed away April 29, 1962; one son; one daughter; one grandchild; and two brothers.

<B>HAYS</B> — Florence L. Hays, who died Monday, April 12, 2010, will be laid to rest next to her husband at Glade Run Cemetery, Middlesex Township.
