Charles O. 'Bud' Revoir

Charles O. “Bud” Revoir, 83, of Middlesex Township passed away Wednesday after a long battle with lung cancer.

Born on Feb. 28, 1931, in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late John Carlson and Rhoda Revoir.

Charles was the beloved husband of the late Patricia L. Steighner Revoir. He was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Cheryl Revoir, who died on Easter Sunday in 1979, and his sister, Patsy Gajdusek.

He was the loving father of Charles H. (Cathy) Revoir of South Dakota, Terrel (Chris) Mayse of California, Tammy (Darrel) Clark of Wisconsin and Lisa (Robert) Sheridan of Adams Township; brother of Eugene Carlson of Zelienople; and dear grandfather of Desiree, Charles, Melanie, Trista, Ryan, Danielle, Ezra, Edward, Brandon, Darrel, Eli, Ahri, Bobby, Amber and Brent. He is also survived by his 26 great-grandchildren.

Bud worked as a steel hauler for more than 40 years, winning an award for more than one million miles of safe driving.

He collected fossils, of which several discoveries were donated to the Carnegie Natural Science Museum. Bud also enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his family, and he even worked as a fishing guide in Canada during his teenage years. He dearly loved all of his children and will be missed by all who knew him.

Revoir— The family of Charles O. “Bud” Revoir, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 p.m. to the time of blessing services at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Private interment will be in Middlesex Presbyterian Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, or to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 333 E.
