Flora Mae Buzanoski, 79, of Butler passed away at 7:55 p.m. Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, following a courageous five-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Born July 18, 1931, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Catherine (Miller) Henderson.

Flora Mae was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Butler.

A woman of many loves and talents, she was an office clerk in various Butler businesses including American Furniture, Davis Furniture, Reliable Furniture and Furniture Galleries. She worked most for A.B. Mann as a receptionist.

In her earlier years, Flora volunteered with the VNA Hospice program.

Flora Mae loved spending time with her family, reading, shopping and traveling with her many friends. She enjoyed warm weather vacations to the Florida Keys, Tarpon Springs and California. She was a lifelong animal lover.

She will best be remembered for her outgoing personality and ability to make people laugh and enjoy life to the fullest.

Flora will be deeply missed by her three children, sons, Thomas E. Buzanoski and Robert J. Buzanoski, and daughter and son-in-law, Amy L. and Christopher Lehman, all of Butler; four grandchildren, Matthew, Megan and Macey Buzanoski and Philip Lehman; a sister, Wanda Jean Thompson (Paul) Pfabe of Butler; nieces, Kathy (Donald) Hines, Karen (Gregory) Tritch and Aysa Bachman; other extended family, and many special friends who daily blessed her life with love and laughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Buzanoski, who died Jan. 12, 1997.

<B>BUZANOSKI </B>— Friends of Flora Mae Buzanoski, who died Monday, April 25, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Robert Peterson, will officiate.
