Donald L. Kennedy, 83, of Cabot died peacefully Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, Cabot.

Born June 28, 1923, he was the 10th child of Clifford and Effie Acre Kennedy

He was a life-long resident of the Cabot area and was the fourth generation to farm the family homestead.

He served in the Army during World War II in the China Offensive.

Mr. Kennedy had been a supervisor at the Butler County Mushroom Farm and retired in 1985 after 44 years.

He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic. Church in Coylesville.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Perine Kennedy, who he married Feb. 15, 1947; a son, Ronald (Carol) Kennedy of Cabot; a daughter, Shirley Keller of Cabot; his grandsons, Matthew (Melissa), Todd and A.J.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were nine brothers and sisters.

<B>KENNEDY </B>— Friends of Donald L. Kennedy, who died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. John Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville, with the Rev. Ken Kezmarksky officiating.
