Mildred C. Collins, 92, of Butler died Monday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born June 12, 1917, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Neigh) Beneigh.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler and the Women's Council of St. Peter's.

She was a homemaker and had been a school crossing guard at Monroe and Jefferson streets and at Morton Avenue and South Main Street in Butler.

Mildred was an avid bowler, having bowled in several area leagues, and she was a former Cub Scout den mother.

Surviving are two sons, Larry J. Collins, and his wife, Patricia, of Butler and Thomas C. Collins and his wife, Mary Ann, of Palm Court, Fla.; four daughters, Judy Weiland and her husband, Glenn, of Butler, Patty Collins and Bill Young of Chicora, Darlene Kaskie and her husband, Ray, of Colorado and Diane Winrader and her husband, Brad, of Slippery Rock; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Collins, who she married Oct. 10, 1936, and who died April 26, 1988; two daughters; a son; two brothers, and two sisters.

<B>Collins </B>— Friends of Mildred C. Collins, who died Monday, April 26, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Thursday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. The Rev. James Dolan, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Peter's parish Cemetery.The Women's Council of St. Peter will meet at 11:40 a.m. Thursday at the church to recite the rosary.Memorial donations may be made to the Sunnyview Rehabilitation Department, 107 Sunnyview Circle, Butler, PA 16001 or to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
