Butler man sentenced to time served in federal drug case

A Butler man was sentenced to time served and a year of supervised release after pleading guilty to federal drug charges.

Ryan David Bigler, 34, of Renfrew was sentenced last week by U.S. District Senior Judge Joy Flowers Conti.

Bigler pleaded guilty in August last year to four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Three of the charges involved cocaine and the fourth involved cocaine and oxymorphone. The crimes occurred in January, February and July of 2019, and at least one offense took place in Butler County.

He was indicted in August 2020, and spent about a year in prison before he was released to pretrial supervision in August last year.
