Lillian Kocak

Lillian Kocak, 73, of Moon Township died Monday in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

She was born Oct. 29, 1937, in Ambridge, and was the daughter of the late John and Mary Rupik Guzan.

She retired as a secretary for the HH Robertson Corp., Ambridge, and Zee-Medical of Robinson Township. She volunteered at the West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center, Moon Township for many years.

She was a member of the St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Ambridge, and was a 1955 graduate of Ambridge High School.

Her passions in life included visiting her grandchildren and taking trips to Las Vegas. She enjoyed shopping and her scratch-off lottery tickets.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, George Kocak of Moon Township; a son, Craig (Marisa) Kocak of Media, Delaware County; two grandsons, Conrad and Dryden Kocak; a brother-in-law, Bruce (Sally) Bobick; an aunt, Lillian Rupik; nieces and nephews, Dr. Carol Narkevic, Donna (Dean) Praskach, Robert (Lynn) Narkevic, Richard (Debbie) Narkevic, Chris (Michelle) Kocak, Lisa (Blaine) Davidson, David (Joann) Kocak, Bridget (David) James and Bryna Bobick; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her sister, Marianne Bobick.

<B>KOCAK </B>— Friends of Lillian Kocak, who died Monday, April 25, 2011, will be received today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the <B>John Syka Funeral Home</B>, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where prayers will be offered Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Divine Liturgy for the repose of her soul at 10 a.m. in the St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church with Father Kevin E. Marks officiating. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery.Members of the St. Mary Rosary Society will pray the holy rosary Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.A parastas service will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church.
