Edgington

Charles A. "Sonny" Edgington, 68, of Pony Farm Road, Kittanning, died Friday at ACMH Hospital.

Born Dec. 5, 1938, in Slate Lick, he was the son of Charles S. and Mary Lardin Edgington.

He served in the Army Reserve National Guard in an infantry engineer battalion.

He was an owner-operator in long-haul trucking from 1969 to 1990. Then he was a construction equipment driver with the Teamsters Local 341 in Pittsburgh until his retirement in 2001.

He was a Protestant.

He was a member of the NRA.

He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR racing, especially Tony Stewart, and traveling all over the country to visit with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Nita Crawford Edgington, whom he married July 25, 1964. He is also survived by a sister, Sally Habblett of Scenic Drive, Kittanning; two nieces, Gretchen (Tim) Blyston and Marcia (Don) Slagle; two nephews, C. Joseph Fink Jr. and Bryan (Suzanne) Fink; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and a sister-in-law, Lois Fink and her husband, C. Joseph Sr.

<B>EDGINGTON</B>— Visitation for Charles A. "Sonny" Edgington, who died Friday, April 20, 2007, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home</B>, Kittanning.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral Home.Burial will be at Lawn Have Burial Estates.
