Mary J. Herman
Mary Josephine Herman, 79, of 943 New Castle Road, Slippery Rock, Worth Township, died at 1:21 p.m. Sunday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.
Born in Patton, Westmoreland County, March 19, 1931, she was the daughter of Joseph Krezan and Veronica Ann Samonick.
She was a kitchen-cafeteria worker, having worked for years at Grove City College and later at Slippery Rock University until her retirement in the late 1990s.
She liked reading, gardening and sewing.
Surviving are two brothers-in-law, Robert M. Miller of Apollo and Dominic Daurora of Apollo; and two sisters-in-law, Helen Krezan of Penn Hills and "Kitty" Krezan of Penn Hills. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Thomas "Dutch," Joseph, Frank and John Krezan, Margaret "Peggy" Daurora, Dorothy "Jane" Krezan and Helen Miller.
<B>HERMAN</B> — Visitation for Mary Josephine Herman, who died Sunday, April 25, 2010, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, Slippery Rock. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with James Lewis, pastor of the West Liberty United Methodist Church, officiating.
