Volunteers earn presidential honor

Three members of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cranberry Township earned the President’s Volunteer Service Award.

Josie Sherman and Peyton Randall earned the award’s gold status for over 100 hours of volunteer service through the church, while Aaron Kramer earned bronze for completing over 50 hours of service.

The award recognizes volunteers who complete a required number of service hours annually with a personalized certificate and congratulatory letter from President Donald Trump.

The is the second year Randall and Kramer received the honors.

All three church members gave their time in various church activities, including volunteering for Vacation Bible School, serving on a mission trip to Jackson, Ohio, and volunteering with drug prevention programs, the humane society, Orchardview Stables and the American Cancer Society.
