Miller Minutes: ‘You won’t have to step far outside your door to hit upon something spectacular’
I think it is safe to say spring has sprung, which means sunshine, allergies and events will be rampant in the coming months.
I am fortunate enough to not suffer from allergies, but I did find myself antsy with cabin fever. What a winter we’ve endured!
The cold actually motivated me to attend more local events. No, I’m not joking, or just saying it because it is my job. I actually started researching events EARLY this week so I could be sure to fit them into my weekend schedule! If I could have released this column to you sooner, I would have. But better on Thursday than never, am I right?
Something I’m especially excited about is the Musical Theatre Guild’s production of “Disaster!” premiering this weekend. With such a star-studded cast, recognizable songs and a hilarious theme (1970s disaster films), what else could possibly go wrong (pun intended)?
If musicals aren’t your speed, there are endless opportunities to eat, shop and learn some local history. You won’t have to step far outside your door to hit upon something spectacular.
