Three Butler students won gold cups at the Piano Solo event of the PA Federation of Music Clubs Northwest/West Festival on Feb. 22 at Grove City College.

Julia Bianchin, an eighth-grade student, and Madeline Dancik, a sixth-grade student, achieved their second gold cups in the piano solo event.

Both have participated in the festival for six years and have received superior ratings all six years.

In addition Rebekah Kalberer, a 10th-grade student, has earned her fourth gold cup by earning superior ratings in the piano solo event for eight consecutive years, and in piano concerto for two years.

Rebekah, Julia and Madeline would have received their gold cups at a public recital in June, but the recital was canceled due to the pandemic’s social restrictions. They will be presented with their gold cups individually at a future time.

They are students at Kemerer Music Studio.
