Catherine M. Oresick, 78, formerly of Ford City, died Monday at Melody Manor, Kittanning.

Born Feb. 8, 1928, in Ford City, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Zacopchinak Miklos.

She was a lifelong resident of the Ford City area and was a former member of the Holy Trinity and St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic churches of Ford City.

Mrs. Oresick enjoyed baking, crafts, the activities at Melody Manor and spending time with her family.

Surviving are a son and his wife, Dennis C. and Carole Oresick of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Katherine) McCurry of Portersville and Geraldine Oresick of Kittanning; and a brother, Joseph Miklos of Florida. A number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

Her husband, George Oresick, preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Paul Miklos; a half brother, Andrew Husar; a sister, Vera Dantella; and two half sisters, Ann Cook and Mary Surovic.

<B>ORESICK </B>— Friends of Catherine M. Oresick, who died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Mantini Funeral Home</B>, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Izral, pastor of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Ukrainian Cemetery.
