Jennifer Menteer

Menteer

Jennifer Menteer, 64, of Saxonburg, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 9, 2026.

Born Feb. 8, 1962, in Ridgway, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Richard Yates and Kathryn Moline Yates.

Jennifer devoted many years to working as a pediatric nurse with BAYADA Home Health Care, caring for children with disabilities. Her compassion and gentle heart touched the lives of the children and families she served.

Above all, Jennifer treasured being at home with her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, creating memories that her loved ones will carry with them always.

Jennifer was more than a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend — she was the person her loved ones could turn to for comfort, understanding and unconditional love. She had a way of making those closest to her feel heard, supported and deeply loved. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but the love she gave will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Jennifer was the beloved wife of Scott Edwards for 37 years; the loving mother of Emily Crouch (Benjamin) and Leann Deans; and the cherished grandmother of Madox, Benson, Sylas, Sydnee and Lana. She was a dear sister to Melody Howard (Perry), Melissa Trumbull, Shelley Yates, Jeffery Yates and Steven Yates (Melissa); and a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

MENTEER — Services will be private for Jennifer Menteer, who died Friday, Oct. 9, 2026.
