The Butler Youth Lacrosse team defeated the Bethel Park Hawks 6-5 then dropped a 9-5 decision 9-5 on Saturday.
Cody Bachman had four goals, including the game-winner with 28 seconds left, and an assist. Nick Whann and Michael Schenck had one goal each with Schenck adding an assist.
Jake Whann added three assists and Nathan Fehl one assist while Hunter Ligo made 15 saves.
In the nightcap, Bachman had three goals while Clay Bachman and Nathan Karwolski had one goal each.
Schenck, Karwolski and Jake Whann had two assists each.
In a previous doubleheader with Upper St. Clair, the fifth- and sixth-grade squad lost 7-6 while the second- to fifth-grade squad lost 13-5.
Cody Bachman led the grades five-and-six team with four goals. Schenck and Tanner Kotch added one goal each and Jake Whann had the lone assist.
In the grades two-through-five game, Nick Whann scored three times with Jordan Krajnikovich and Kotch tallying one goal each and Nathan Fehl adding an assist.
