YOUTH WRESTLING
Knoch wrestler Dillion Holben won the age 12-and- under 75-pound weight class at the Mars Open Tournament recently. Eric Green was third in the 8-and-under 70-pound division.
Blaine Elliot claimed first place in the 12-and-under 110-pound weight class in the Mars Novice Tournament.
Also in the Mars Novice event, Kameron Grassi was second in the 6-and-under 45-pound division, Hunter Oskin was second in the 8-and-under 45-pound division, Silas Wilson was third at 6-and-under heavyweight and Mickey Kittleson was third at 12-and-under 75 pounds.

n The Butler junior high wrestling team captured the recent North Allegheny Invitational for the second consecutive year.
Dillon Weston (130 pounds) and Dakoda Collins (238) each won their respective weight divisions, while Blake Caudill (75) and Zackary Reges (105) had runner-up performances.
Third-place finishers were Doug DeFrancisis (100), Cody Hartman (122), Robert Punchur (145) and Jordan Allen (185).
Fourth-place finishers were Randy Kelley (80), Zack Collins (110) and Matt Kenyon (250).
Basketball
Caitlin Baxter scored 13 points to lead the Butler seventh-grade girls traveling team to a 38-11 victory over Seneca Valley in recent playoff action.
Mackenzie O'Donnell added nine points, Chloe Ryder and Natalie Barkus had six each. Morgan McLaughlin and Sam Marak contributed two points each.
Now 9-0, Butler's next playoff game is at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pine-Richland Youth Center in Gibsonia.
