The Northern Crew under-10 girls soccer team won the Cleveland Alliance Soccer Association's Indoor Classic Tournament recently.

The team went undefeated in the premier division, beating Cleveland Select, Cleveland Whitecaps and Excalibur before stopping the Whitecaps, 2-1, in the championship game.

Rob Esposto coached the team. Members of the Northern Crew team include Chloe Bowser, Haley Michel and Baylee Verner of Butler, Sarah Anderson, Lexus Lambert, Bella Marra, Taylor Renk and Cassidy Testa of Cranberry Township, Megan Majeski of Evans City, Emily Cekella of Harmony, Paige Montrose of Seven Fields, Jennifer Walker of Valencia and Caroline Miller of Zelienople.

Hockey

The Pittsburgh Huskies Pee Wee AAhockey team earned runner-up honors recently at the Tim Horton Presidents' Day Tournament in Jamestown, N.Y.

The Huskies defeated the Armstrong Arrows 4-2, Erie Icemen 7-1 and Jamestown Lakers 4-3 before dropping a 4-3 decision to the Arrows in the championship game.

Troy Double led the Huskies with six goals during the tournament while Dustin Davis added four, Christian Miller three, Eric Leya two, Matt Tomasovich, Hyte Eurich and Jordan Krajnikovich one each.

Davis, Miller, Eurich and Tristan Ramage had three assists each.
