Penn Street rallied from a two-touchdown deficit to defeat Center Township, 19-12, in Butler Area Midget Football League play Saturday at Memorial Park

Center Township's Pat Lokhaiser threw a 56-yard touchdown pass to Mike Hepler in the first quarter and ran 4 yards for a score in the second period.

Keenan Barlow scored on a 10-yard run for Penn Street in the third quarter. He added a 6-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter, with Trae Wilson's PATgiving the Cardinals the lead. Barlow scored on a 1-yard run with 1:38 left to close out the scoring.

Meridian 42, South Butler 6 — Meridian had a 30-6 lead by halftime as David Slomers scored on a 31-yard run and on a 35-yard pass from Jordan Cratty. Christian Kovach added two PATkicks.Jacob Olenick scored on a 1-yard run with Kovach adding another two-point kick. After Clint Regal scored on a 3-yard run for South Butler, Meridian blocked a punt to set up a 4-yard Cratty TDpass to Olenick.Kovach and Steve Shoemaker hooked up on a 69-yard touchdown pass and Slomers scored on a 25-yard run.In games from Week 1, Penn Street defeated East Butler 27-6, East Side edged South Butler 6-0 and Center Township blanked Meridian 20-0.In games this week, East Butler plays South Butler (0-2) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Meridian (1-1)faces Center Township (1-1) at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and East Side meets Penn Street (2-0) at 7 p.m. Saturday.
