Tanner Gilliland had two goals, including the game-winner with 1:16 remaining, to give the Butler freshman hockey team a 5-4 victory over Deer Lakes Thursday at the Ice Connection.

Robbie Barnhart, Corey Chuba and Nick Whann also scored, Chuba added two assists and Gilliland, Whann and Justin Wehrli had one apiece.

Jacob Hrip made 19 saves for Butler (10-1-4), who finish the regular season with an 8:30 p.m. game today against Burrell at the Ice Connection.

Dustin Stoller had two goals and Brad Johnson added an assist, but the Seneca Valley JV I squad fell to Shaler 5-2 in the first game of the championship series.
