Monday — Police are investigating the overnight break-in at the Stepanian & Muscatello law office, 222 S. Main St. The office was ransacked and petty cash stolen.An employee about 7:40 a.m. Monday discovered the burglary and notified police. Investigators found no forced entry, according to a police report, and suggested the door possibly had been left unlocked by the cleaning crew.Butler Twp Police5:07 p.m. Monday — Heather Kuhrt, 23, and Tiffany Amour, 23, both of Butler were stopped for suspected shoplifting at the Butler Commons' Wal-Mart. Police said both women were cited for retail theft.3:50 p.m. Monday — Acar driven by Carol Cricks, 62, of Lyndora and a pickup truck driven by RichardHughes, 56, of Karns City collided at Route 8 and Cooledge Street.
10:34 a.m. Tuesday — Apickup truck driven by Charles Montag, 62, of Butler struck the rear of a car on Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Mildred Davies, 84, of Cabot, who was driving the car, was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor back injuries. Police said Montag was cited for careless driving.Sunday — An unknown burglar used a drill to bust the locks of a tool chest, and took wrenches and sockets after breaking into a garage on Surface Mine Road in Cherry Township. The burglary occurred between 3 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.Police said Matthew and Pal Throm, both of Butler, own the tools that are engraved with their names or initials.Sunday — Two purses were stolen from a car after the unknown thief smashed out a side window of the vehicle at Bogacs Country Market on Route 228 in Clinton Township. The theft occurred between 11:15 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday.8:30 p.m. March 29 — Donna Marie Hamby, 53, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Duffy Road in Brady Township.
6 p.m. Tuesday — Two unknown shoplifters stole a pair of pants and six pairs shorts from the Dickies stores at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township. Police said the suspects, two black women, drove away in a maroon Chevrolet Blazer with Ohio license plates. The stolen clothes are valued at $155.
