Public meetings are public
I am a little perplexed about a comment made at the Concord Township public meeting on July 12.
A township resident complained that the public was not informed that a reporter from the Butler Eagle was at the June meeting.
Why does anyone have to announce who they are or why they are at a public meeting?
The meetings are open to the public — not just township residents — and all public meetings can by Pennsylvania law be recorded.
The issue of the recording was addressed at the Sept. 9, 2020, public meeting.
