Charles E. Heathcote, 67, of East Butler died at 7 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 24, 1940, in Coaltown, he was the son of the late John Thomas and Mary Jane Smith Heathcote.

He was a member of the Summit Township Hunting and Fishing Club, and Trout Unlimited. He enjoyed car cruises, fly fishing and hunting. He also sang with the group Cardells.

He worked for Wise Machine for 36 years.

Surviving are his wife, Judith L. Miller Heathcote; two daughters, Deborah and her husband, Robert, Dunkle of Karns City, and Denise and her husband, David, Lipscomb of Fenelton; two sons, Daniel and his wife, Ella, Heathcote of Connoquenessing, and David and his wife, Sheri, Heathcote of Emlenton; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; six nieces, and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson and one sister.

<B>HEATHCOTE — </B>Friends of Charles E. Heathcote, who died Monday, March 31, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Butler. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday, and burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Duff Road, Suite 304, Pittsburgh, PA 15235; or the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.Information is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
