Fredrick L. Mock

Fredrick Lee Mock, 55, of Slippery Rock Road in Slippery Rock Township died at 4 a.m. Sunday at his home after a short illness.

Born in Franklin, Venango County, Dec. 15, 1951, he was the son of the late Robert Andrew Sr. and Delores Kite Mock.

He was a 1971 graduate of Grove City High School and worked for a construction company out of New York building churches until his recent illness.

Mr. Mock, a musician, played guitar and was a singer/songwriter. He played in bands all over the East Coast and was a member of the Lost Legend band for years. In addition to performing, they produced a commercial CD.

He was a woods lover and built a log cabin in the woods called Jenny Two. In addition to his music, he loved painting and creating art out of items from the woods.

Surviving are a daughter, Victoria Lynn Aguilar and her husband, Andres, of Winslow, Ariz.; his companion, Susan Leasher of Slippery Rock; three brothers, Andrew "Andy" and Robert "Robby" Mock, both of Grove City, and Steven "Steve" Mock of Slippery Rock; and two sisters, Lorrie Moon of Pittsburgh and Peggy Lenkner of Grove City.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Tyler and Brittany Young and Vincent Mock.

He was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Lee Mock.

<B>MOCK </B>— Friends of Fredrick Lee Mock, who died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 1778 Perry Highway, Leesburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
