Woman charged in drug deals
CRANBERRY TWP — A woman brought her young child with her when she allegedly sold heroin during two drug deals, county narcotics authorities said.
Brianna L. Sanner, 28, of Pittsburgh was arrested Friday in Cranberry Township on drug trafficking and child endangerment charges. She is in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.
Sanner's arrest followed an investigation by the Butler County Drug Task Force that began earlier this year. A police informant and undercover officer used cell phones to set up controlled heroin buys March 28 and April 3 in Cranberry Township, according to charging documents.
The undercover officer accompanied the informant to the first buy at a fast-food restaurant parking lot along Route 228. Investigators said Sanner was holding her 2-year-old child when the informant and officer arrived. She is accused of selling 10 stamp bags of heroin for $60.
The following week, documents said, she sold 10 more stamp bags for $60 to the undercover officer during the second buy at a Route 19 business. She again drove there with her toddler, who was in the back seat, investigators said.
District Judge Dave Kovach arraigned Sanner on felony charges of delivery and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and endangering a child, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
County Detective Tim Fennell, who heads the task force, said officers plan to file additional charges against her, noting she was found with suspected heroin when arrested Friday.
