State transportation officials are encouraging residents to comment on a biennial report on safety and mobility, and register for an online public meeting where they can ask questions of PennDOT officials.

The state’s Transportation Performance Report is published once every two years and provides ratings on the state’s efforts in transportation safety, mobility, system preservation and accountability. It can be viewed at www.TalkPATransportation.com.

Leslie Richards, PennDOT secretary and State Transportation Commission chairman, said the report “shows a commitment to safety and efficiency in transportation.”

Richards said Pennsylvania residents can review the report and share their input during an open comment period that ends April 19.

Part of that comment period includes an online public meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 21, during which Richards will speak about the report and transportation officials will answer questions.
