Mars girls tennis beats Butler in match that goes down to the wire: Roundup

Despite Doubles 1 pair Devan Christofano and Cassie Sklencar winning a back-and-fourth matchup 6-3, 2-6, 6-1, Butler girls tennis fell to Mars 3-2 Friday evening.
Gianna Kampian (Singles 1), Grace Nam (Singles 3) and Ella Ostapchenko and Nila Van Wyk (Doubels 2) won in straight sets for the Planets. Lindsay Lipp’s serves powered her to a Singles 2 win for Butler.
Girls volleyball
Emily Matz ripped off 22 kills and 23 digs in a monster performance to lead Moniteau to a 3-1 win over DuBois Central Catholic (25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 25-23). Matz also had four blocks and two aces. Alyssa Thompson chipped in with 23 digs and nine kills, and Maddy Eury dished out 40 assists and had 16 digs, four kills and two aces.
