Grace Mohrbacher
Grace E. Mohrbacher, 70, of Zelienople died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.
Born Oct. 7, 1940, in Adams Township, she was the daughter of Melvin and Clara Harbison Fowler.
Mrs. Mohrbacher was a member of the St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople, where she was a former member of the bell choir.
She retired as a draftsman and designer for Bach & Associates after 20 years.
Mrs. Mohrbacher was the former owner of the Appalachian Rock Shop & Museum in Middle Lancaster and also made and repaired jewelry.
She was a former member of the Jackson Township Planning Commission, loved her horses and dogs, and enjoyed oil painting, crafts and reading.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jack H. Mohrbacher Sr. who she married Aug. 30, 1958; two daughters, Darla S. Palicia (Richard) of Grove City and Elaine K. Mohrbacher of Zelienople; a son, Jack H. Mohrbacher Jr. of Zelienople; two brothers, Thomas G. Fowler of Texas and Melvin B. Fowler of Fairview, Erie County; a sister, Mary E. Bartles of Florida; two grandchildren, Anthony Murphy and Melinda Benninger (Gary); and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jonathan Murphy.
<B>MOHRBACHER </B>— A memorial service for Grace E. Mohrbacher, who died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Peter’s Reformed Church, 314-320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063, with the Rev. James R. Bertoti officiating.
