The Butler boys and girls junior high track and field teams remained unbeaten in dual meets this season with victories over New Castle and Hampton.

Butler's boys defeated New Castle 100-27 and Hampton 107-20. The girls defeated New Castle 90-37 and Hampton 74-53.

Gaining first-place finishes for the Golden Tornado boys were Carlos Sanchez in the 110-meter hurdles and 400 meters, Dakoda Collins in the 100 and 200, Trey Neveux in the 1,600, Dylan Ahrens in the 3,200, Cody West in the 800, high jump and triple jump, Mike McPherson in the shot put, Matt Cole in the discus, Alex Yonker in the long jump and Tanner Wahler in the pole vault.

Butler's 400-relay relay team of Evan Parke, Patrick Lokhaiser, Yonker and Collins, along with the 1,600-meter relay unit of Trey Robinson, Neveux, Canan Roskovski and Sanchez, posted victories.

Posting first-place finishes for Butler's girls were Joclyn Duttry in the shot put and discus, Alexa Gray in the 400, Vanessa Tomsey in the 800, Paige Rittelman in the high jump and Amber Zanella in the pole vault.
