Man arrested for third time in 2017
EVANS CITY — Butler County detectives arrested a 29-year-old man on drug charges.
It’s his third arrest this year.
Steven Strutz of Evans City is charged with drug possession after probation officers allegedly found empty heroin stamp bags and other drug paraphernalia at the home Strutz shares with his wife.
Strutz is in the Butler County Jail on a $5,000 bail.
The paraphernalia was found during a residence compliance check, court documents said.
“Steven Strutz is under the supervision of Butler County adult probation,” said Tim Fennell, county drug task force coordinator. “Officers located empty heroin stamp bags in a handbag in the family room where the couple were staying and more empty stamp bags, (a) spoon with residue, a glass marijuana pipe and two containers with marijuana wax residue in the garage where the grandparents state Jessica and Steven ‘lock themselves in’ sometimes.”
Strutz will be arraigned Jan. 23.
He was arrested twice already this year, both times for assault.
