3:28 a.m. Sunday — Alane R. Weeter, 21, of Hilliards was arrested for driving under the influence after his car struck another car parked on Center Drive.Police said Weeter drove off after hitting the car owned by Wilbert Meyers of Butler; however, he was stopped later and, in addition to DUI, is charged with hit-and-run and possession of drug paraphernalia.4:34 a.m. Saturday — Bryan Byers, 31, is accused of assaulting his 27-year-old girlfriend, Heather Staiger, during a domestic dispute at their Armstrong Avenue home.Staiger reported the assault to police while being treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for injuries.Byers about 9 a.m. showed up at the police station; however, police said he gave officers a false name.He was arraigned on charges of simple assault, harassment and false identification to law enforcement authorities, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail.1:06 a.m. Saturday — Sarah Muto, 26, of East Butler was arrested for DUI on Kittanning Street. Police said Muto also was cited for careless driving and crossing a double yellow line into oncoming traffic.Saturday — Police filed bad check charges against Sherrie L. Kennedy, 37, of Butler for allegedly bouncing a $369.70 check Nov. 22 at Sehman's Tire Service on West Cunningham Street7:11 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Phillip Carosi, 23, and Cindy Leavitte-Taylor, 49, both of Butler collided at Hansen Avenue and Fairground Hill Road. Police said Carosi was cited for failing to yield the right of way.

11:40 p.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by David L. Criss, 19, of Monongahela, Washington County, fishtailed on black ice on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township, traveled off the road and rolled over twice, landing on its roof. Police said Criss was cited for driving too fast for conditions.7:06 p.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by Mark W. Francis, 50, of Chicora struck a guardrail on I-79 in Jackson Township. Police said Francis was cited for unspecified traffic violations.5:06 p.m. Sunday — Two people were hurt when a sport utility vehicle driven by William N. Ott, 85, of Conneaut Lake, Crawford County, crashed into a median and rolled over on I-79 in Jackson Township.Ott and a passenger, Marie Ott, 71, of Conneaut Lake, suffered minor injuries. Police said William Ott was cited for driving too fast for conditions.4 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Dorothy Kanai, 65, of Pittsburgh crashed in the median and rolled over on I-79 in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Kanai suffered minor injuries.3:57 p.m. Sunday — An SUV driven by Alicia Kelcha, 34, of Harmony struck a concrete barrier in Cranberry Township. Police said Kelcha was cited for driving too fast for conditions.1:40 a.m. Sunday — Jeremy Bodema, 36, of Butler is accused of allegedly assaulting his 32-year-old wife on Rolling Valley Lane in Connoquenessing Township. The woman suffered moderate head, facial and body injuries.Police said Bodema fled and was found about 3:50 a.m. at Unionville Road andRoute 8 in Center Township. He was later placed in the Butler County Prison, and faces simple assault, fleeing or attempting elude police, and other charges.1:07 a.m. Sunday — A 29-year-old Beaver County man was injured when his car crashed into an embankment on I-79 in Lancaster Township.Police did not identify the man, from New Brighton, who faces possible driving under the influence charges in the crash. The suspect was treated at UPMCPassavant Cranberry for moderate injuries,8:32 p.m. Saturday — Robert K. Brunner, 65, of Cabot was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 356 and Neupert Road in Jefferson Township.1:14 a.m. Saturday — Jamie M. Stenman, 33, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI after being stopped for speeding on Route 356 at Cooper Road in Jefferson Township.Saturday — Four people were arrested for driving under the influence during roving DUI patrols conducted by police in Butler County.Police stopped 34 cars during the patrols between 11 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday. In addition to the DUI arrests, police issued 14 traffic tickets and 18 warnings.11:08 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Alain J. Nassy, 39, of Chicora crashed into an embankment and rolled over two times on Center Drive in Oakland Township. Police said Nassy, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for a minor injury, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.6:30 p.m. Friday — An unknown thief stole a black and gray, 2004 Polaris 700 all-terrain vehicle on Route 138 in Concord Township. Dennis J. Baird of West Sunbury owns the ATV.12:20 p.m. Thursday — An SUV driven by Melynda Fairman, 22, of Indiana, Pa., got stuck in a snowbank after hitting a guardrail on Route 268 in Parker Township.Thursday — Aman and woman were arrested in connection with an altercation at a Linn Avenue home in Winfield Township.Charged with simple assault are George Lucas, 32, of Winfield Township and Laci Ann McCandless, no age given, of Butler Township. Lucas also is charged with terroristic threats.Jan. 19 — Items valued at $3,600 were stolen between Jan. 16 and 19 in a burglary at Wain Landscaping on Hindman Lane, Connoquenessing Township. Among the property stolen was a Stihl chop saw and chainsaw, Dewalt hand grinder and transit tripod, two Hampton Bay transformers and two Shindaiwa commercial pruners.

5:30 a.m. Sunday — Jarid Huth, 31, of Kittanning is accused of assaulting a trooper following a suspected drunken driving crash on Route 128 in North Buffalo Township.Police were called to the two-vehicle crash and found Huth. Troopers said he was uncooperative when being interviewed about the collision, and officers had to handcuff him.Huth asked for an ambulance crew to examine his injuries in the crash. But after the ambulance got there, police said he kicked one of the troopers in the right thigh and right thumb.Police said the defendant was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, driving under the influence and numerous other traffic violations. He is in the Armstrong County Prison on $20,000 bail.10:35 p.m. Saturday — ATempleton woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 268 in West Kittanning.Patricia A. Rupp, 44, suffered a major injury, police said, and was taken to ACMH Hospital near Kittanning.Rupp was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle driven by Mark A. Rupp, 41, of Templeton. Police said a car driven by Danny R. Bowser, 52, of Kittanning failed to yield the right of way while leaving a parking lot, and struck the SUV. Police said Bowser was cited for causing the crash.

1:40 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Ryan D. Harvey, 32, of Slippery Rock struck the rear of a tractor-trailer on Route 158 near Leesburg Station Road in Wilmington Township. Police said Harvey was cited for driving too fast for conditions. Chad Cary, 23, of Hermitage was driving the rig.7:58 p.m. Friday — A Grove City woman is accused of stabbing a man in the arm during an altercation at a house on Mercer-Butler Pike in Liberty Township. Police said Kimberly Rose Rogozinski, 43, is charged with simple assault and harassment. Steven Robert Woulitich, 38, of Grove City, who was stabbed, also was cited for harassment for allegedly shoving Rogozinski in a dispute prior to the stabbing.A police report did not indicated the extent of Woulitich's injuries.
